Business Dutch Online Writing Course

Would you like to improve your Dutch business writing skills but have a busy schedule? Kickstart School’s online Business Dutch writing course enhances your writing skills through a series of exercises and assignments completed via KickstartNet, our online learning platform. Our online lessons are ideal for people who have busy lifestyles, difficult schedules, or who live outside The Hague. All correspondence is online, although an initial meeting with the teacher (face-to-face, by phone or via Skype) is necessary in order to assess your level and discuss your goals for the course.

This course is available at two levels: intermediate to upper-intermediate (B1-B2) and upper-intermediate to advanced (B2-C1). The content can be adjusted according to your specific needs, including the option of combining elements of this course with the Social Dutch Writing Course.

Course Content and Goals - Business Dutch Online Writing Course

Topics that will be covered in the lessons include:

  • Write an invitation letter
  • Write an informative letter
  • Write a confirmation letter
  • Write a request letter (including payment reminder)
  • Write a text (100-200 words)
  • Write a letter of complaint
  • Write an answer to a letter of complaint
  • Write a cover letter

By the end of the course you will be able to:

Confidently write different types of business texts such as your CV and letters of complaint.

Lessons include a combination of exercises and longer written tasks, the latter of which are submitted to the teacher twice:

  • First submission: Teacher highlights areas in need of attention then returns the work to the student for reflection and improvement.
  • Second submission: Teacher provides more detailed comments, including tips and corrections where appropriate.
